Uluwatu Temple is a famous Balinese sea temple in Bali. It is one of the nine directional temples of Bali meant to protect it from evil spirits. Uluwatu's temple is built at the edge (ulu) of a 70 meter high cliff or rock (watu). Uluwatu temple is inhabited by monkeys, who are notorious for snatching visitors' belongings.
